Within a few weeks of the start of my project it was apparent that the cost to repair would exceed the estimate provided initially. Additional damage was discovered after further exploration became required. David and his team quickly identified the problem and the solution though, and within a few weeks had a plan to address repair of the extenuating damages.
After a couple of months from initial discovery of the extenuating damage on my property, Tartan completed all repairs, which was very timely all things considered.
The service that I received from David and his staff was exceptional throughout. If I could complain about anything, I could be petty and complain about David not keeping me informed of costs increases as much as I would have like to been informed, but ultimately I had worried for no reason at all because the cost increases were completely in line with my expectations and industry standards.
I am grateful to Tartan Construction and all their efforts to restore my home. Of all the many, many contractors I have used over the years, they are the only company I would wholeheartedly endorse.

Why I give Tartan 5 stars:
1. They started the job on schedule, and were here every day until it was completed.
2. They cleaned up after themselves -- the only evidence I have of their being here is a beautiful new deck! I didn't have to clean up piles of construction trash. They left the place spotless.
3. Attention to detail: not only does the final product look good, but the quality of their work throughout, even areas that were covered up in the final deck, showed a careful attention to quality work that gives me confidence that this deck is going to be problem free for years to come.

We hired Tartan Construction to fix a major water intrusion problem. They were upfront and honest about the process and projected costs. The work was on our second home in Navarre which meant we would not be present during the work period. We found David and Tyler to be honest, very trustworthy and dependable. They were very professional and went to great lengths to care for our home while construction was ongoing. They were very knowledgeable about every aspect of the repairs needed and sought expert advice on things they were unsure of. We were very pleased with the finished project. The only area of improvement we would recommend would be getting proposal together in a more timely manner. Had to wait a while for work to begin but it was well worth the wait. Superb job. Will not use anyone else.
